Well...the day is finally here. Well tomorrow but it's still "here." By Wednesday morning I'll either be happy as hell or planning my escape to another country. I have made it no secret that I plan on voting for Barack Obama. He speaks to me in ways that McCain can't and there's no better way to show this than through music. I love imeem because I love finding new music. Especially when I don't have to pay for it. The site put together the Top 10 songs for each candidate based off of interviews they did with music magazines, events, etc. Pretty cool idea. I've embedded Obama's playlist below. I'm trying to become more actively involved in the music scene again. I've had something of a falling out in that I was only discovering new music when we other people brought it to me. Well now I'm going to bring it to my legions of fans....yes I can have legions of fans so wipe that smirk off your face.

Today's band is The Rapture

I've discovered something about work that is more annoying than the infamous TPS Report debacle from "Office Space." Being reminded a bunch of times is one thing but being asked to "check again" 50 times is more annoying. It is a clear indication that your supervisors think you are incompetent. I was literally asked to check for something 6 different times. The conversation went like this:

Me: Yea, there are no other articles that I can find.
Supervisor: Did you run a search?
Me: Yup, nothing that we secured.
S: How about in our files?
Me: Or course. Nothing there as well.
S: Can you check again?
Me: I can indeed

15 minutes later
S: How is this coming?
Me: I'll be honest. I'm not finding anything.
S: Hmm...not even online?
Me: No, I ran a search like you asked and nothing that we did.
S: There has to be something.
Me: It doesn't seem so.
S: ...
Me: ...
S: Could you double back and just be sure? I want to make sure we cover everything.
Me: I can look again but I'm not sure what we'll find.

45 minutes later
Me: Still nothing
S: And you're sure?
Me: Let me look again...

5 seconds later
Me: Nothing
S: Checked everything
Me (in mind): YES!! DAMMIT YES!! I LOOKED FUCKING EVERYWHERE!!!!
Me: Looked everywhere. Not sure what else to tell ya.
S: Alright. Just wanted to be sure

I was fuckin sure the first time. Geez. It wasted my entire morning and now I'm behind again and I'll get shit this afternoon for being behind. Damn. Ahh well. They were selling Girl Scout Cookies in the lobby so that made it better. Girl Scout Cookies are the crack of the snack world if crack was sold once a year by little girls trying to earn a retail badge.

I just found out my friend Celeigh Chapman has awesome vocals.  She never told me and I just found out via her MySpace page. Way to go Celeigh. You have a beautiful voice. Here's one of her songs, Leaves.
