How do you know when a relationship has run its course and it's time to call it quits?
I've been super busy lately and now is no different but I saw this question and just had to weigh in being that I've dealt with this situation on more than one occasion.
A few warning signs for ya:
- You're partner begins to monitor your schedule on a minute-by-minute basis. Usually comes with incessant text messaging which include: "Where are you?" "When are you coming home?" and "Who's Rachel?"
- Hate that you work all the time even though you need the money to continue pampering them.
- Recommends you get a dog, fish, cat, bird, etc together and he/she has already picked several names.
- Breaks into your room and reads personal files, documents, journals, napkins, etc.
- Has logged onto your email account that you left on and personally messaged every woman in your address book that you never want to speak with them again
- Hits you
- Sucks in bed all of a sudden/calls out another guy/girls name
- Starts asking you about your relationship with God (unless you're like that)
- Gets mad at you for spending half the day watching football with your guy friends
- Asks to join you and your girlfriends at a viewing of "Gossip Girl"
- Cramps your style
Those are just a few off the top of my head. The bolded ones are the most important and you should get out like lighting quick if they happen.
Why do you blog?

That's an excellent question. I originally started blogging a long time ago actually but it was on MySpace and those blogs are worthless. A long time ago, I was a journalist (for my high school paper) but I loved to write. Everyone tells you to become a doctor or a lawyer and its usually because of the money unless you really want to help people or really appreciate the law. I didn't want to be one of those people. I wanted to be a writer for the longest time. Write great stories like Vonnegut or some amazing satire like Palahnuik. Then the journalist got into me and I wanted to be an opinion writer thinking that my opinions could change the world.
How it really started for me was that so many people really never listen to what you have to say but rather just wait for their turn to speak. I noticed it when I would feel very passionately about something but when I tried to talk to someone, they just nodded and provided no feedback. I had so much to say but if they weren't interested, then I didn't want to bore or bother them with it. But who then I asked?! WHO?!?! Well if no one would listen then I wanted to write and that's where blogging came in. Even if no one reads this blog, at least it gives me a space to get my thoughts out and onto "paper." It gives me a chance to exercise my skills in writing, debate and humor. It gives me a space to exercise my first amendment! (had to throw that in there) It gives me a chance to discuss topics with no one and anyone at the same time. I've "met" some interesting people through blogging all with their own ideas and opinions and I think that makes me a more knowledgeable person.
I haven't given up on mainstream news just yet but it's much more informative for me to hear it from people like myself. I like the bias and the opinions even if they are not my own. It provides me with a chance to hear the other side from the other side. And most importantly, I can say whatever I want and no on can stop me! HAHAHAHA!
Word.
What was the last great epiphany that you've had?

So I'm at the bottom of the corporate ladder right now. Well, not the very bottom as I'm not an intern but still the bottom. It's not so much a shitty place to be as I'm still pretty involved in all the work that goes on and I'm mildly
respected I think. I've got some skills.I was at work the other night till 10 pm working on a new business proposal. Actually pretty cool but I won't go into it for competitive reasons (who knows who reads this thing). As I was leaving I realized I had been working for 14 hours. That's a long day! I thought to myself, man this sucks but then! LIGHT BULB! Since I am at the bottom of the ladder as an Account Coordinator...I'm non-exempt! If you don't know what that means, it means that I still get paid overtime! I'm on salary but anything over 8 hours in a single day is time and a half! CHING CHING!
What's your favorite thing about being sick?
It's going to be a busy day so I thought I would at least answer this question.
Favorite thing about being sick: it's an excuse to not do anything and no one can call you out on it. When you're sick you basically resort to being 6 years old and you can't do anything but ask for someone else to get it for you. That and not going to work is pretty sweet.
It was a great weekend with lots of good times and hopefully some positive outcomes other than the normal inebriation. I may have even gotten a date out of the whole thing. I know right! Maybe I'll stop being so bitter. Probably not but here's to hoping.
What do you most hate sharing with other people?
I dont really hate sharing anything with anyone except when they don't share back. Now I know sharing is supposed to be this altruistic act where you do it because it's right but when you share with people a lot and they don't share back, then they're just moochers. I have close friends that are "moochers" but it's okay because they're my close friends and because they share other little things with me.
Other than that...I don't like sharing my body...unless you're a female and you're willing to share yours...and if you don't rape me.
Side note: I think one of my coworkers was checking out my ass.
